The Ministry of Spatial Planning and Environment is developing policy, planning and legislation for spatial planning in Suriname. To have a representative and inclusive process the Ministry is looking for insights from the general public. GGS is happy to support the Ministry of ROM in gathering these insights. In August 2022 an online survey will be distributed through social media, Whatsapp and SMS text to gather responses from Surinamese allover the country.

This is step one of the process we have designed to gather stakeholder insights. In the coming months we will organize other initiatives to gather more in-depth information per district, which will support the policy-making and legislative process within the Ministry of Spatial Planning and Environment (ROM).
